Laser Source Selection: MAX for Reliability in Medium Power Range
For the new 3000W systems, Chongqing Chuke adopted laser sources from MAX (Max Photonics) instead of Raycus. This decision was based on a careful evaluation of performance characteristics across different power ranges. Manual Operation Remains Essential Despite Automation Considerations
The customer had previously considered upgrading to an automated platform laser welding system as a means to reduce the overhead costs of maintaining a skilled team of welding technicians. However, after thorough evaluation, this approach proved impractical. The customer manufactures a wide variety of exhaust pipe models and specifications, with small batch sizes per production run. This is particularly true for models destined for export motorcycle brands, where production volumes are often limited. Under these conditions, fully automated welding is difficult to achieve, and skilled manual operation remains the most flexible and cost effective solution.
