Chongqing Chuke Intelligent Machinery & Equipment Co., Ltd., a certified manufacturer (ISO, CE, FDA, RoHS) of advanced laser solutions, has successfully delivered a custom engineered laser marking system to Seres, the manufacturer of the premium new energy vehicle brand AITO. The system is specifically designed for paint stripping and marking of smart cockpit components, addressing the customer's unique production requirements with innovative software integration and flexible hardware design.
Precision Paint Stripping: A Critical Pre welding Requirement
The two types of smart cockpit components processed by the customer receive a full body spray painting treatment during production for rust prevention. However, before these components can be welded onto the smart cockpit frame, the paint layer must be precisely removed from specific areas to ensure proper electrical conductivity and weld integrity. Previously, the customer used an existing standard 100W benchtop
Fiber Laser Marking Machine for this task. However, this approach required continuous manual adjustment of graphics, text, encoding, and
Other parameters when switching between products, resulting in limited efficiency and higher potential for operational errors.
Six Station Custom Tooling with Tray Based Batch Loading
To address throughput requirements, Chuke designed a six station custom fixturing system for the laser processing station. While the customer currently uses manual loading and unloading due to the small size of the components, the fixturing is designed to accommodate the customer's existing trays for batch loading and unloading. This approach significantly reduces idle time between cycles and prepares the workstation for potential future automation upgrades.
One Button Automatic Product Switching via Custom Software
A key requirement from Seres was simplicity for frontline operators. To minimize error rates and changeover time between the two distinct product types, Chuke developed a custom software solution built on the EZCAD platform. With a single key press corresponding to each product, the system automatically loads and configures all relevant parameters including graphics, text, laser settings, and coding methods. This one button automation eliminates manual parameter adjustments, reduces the risk of production errors, and dramatically improves operational efficiency.
300W MOPA Laser for Precision Paint Removal and Marking
The customer ultimately selected the JPT M7 300W air cooled MOPA laser paired with EZCAD software for its superior performance in both paint stripping and high contrast marking applications. The 300W MOPA configuration delivers the precise thermal control required for clean, selective layer removal without damaging the underlying substrate material, a critical requirement for sensitive electronic components in automotive smart cockpits.
800mm Stroke X Axis with Factory Communication Capabilities
The system is equipped with an 800mm stroke X axis moving module and the six station custom fixturing described above. Importantly, the machine is designed with open communication protocols allowing seamless integration with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), PLCs, and robotic systems. The customer's current production volume requires only one machine to meet existing demand. However, if the vehicle model proves to be a commercial success and demand increases substantially, the customer's roadmap includes the addition of robotic loading and unloading arms and the procurement of additional machines. In that scaled scenario, the ability to communicate with MES across multiple machines to manage complex coding and traceability will become essential. Chuke's system is fully prepared for this future expansion.
About Seres and the AITO Brand
Seres, the parent company of the AITO brand, has established itself as a dominant force in China's premium new energy vehicle market. As of early 2026, AITO achieved the milestone of 1 million vehicle deliveries in just 46 months since its founding, making it one of the fastest growing premium NEV brands in history. The flagship AITO M9 has accumulated over 270,000 deliveries and held the 50,000+ RMB segment sales championship for 21 consecutive months, while the AITO M7 has surpassed 400,000 cumulative deliveries.
On the export front, Seres has accelerated its globalization strategy. In early 2026, AITO secured its first 200 unit order in the United Arab Emirates, marking a critical entry into the Middle Eastern market. The company has established overseas product and service systems, with plans to launch multiple new models across Central Asia and the Middle East in 2026, targeting a long term goal of 30% of total revenue from overseas markets.
The company's premium SUV product matrix has captured over 20% of China's premium new energy SUV market, and Seres continues to expand its product range from the 200,000 RMB to 600,000 RMB price segments.
